WE ARE REVOLUTIONARY RAGS
Revolutionary Rags seeks to inspire with its unique t-shirt designs by bringing to life the stories of the many people who have changed history.
My name is Amy.
I started Revolutionary Rags because I love the United States. It is an amazing, well-intentioned, experiment in human potential and liberty that at its inception was probably never expected to last. It seems many people have forgotten our shared history, while others have simply never been introduced to it. Worse, so many Americans believe our great land to be irredeamable. I am so proud of our country and the people who sacrificed so much to create it. I want to show others that our country has been a source of inspiration and a force for good for over two centuries. I want people to know the American men, women, and even children, who changed the history of the world.
But not everyone wants to read a book, or ten. Learning about our shared history should be fun and imaginative. So, I decided to design t-shirts dedicated to the revival of these historical figures, but not just any t-shirt, an interactive t-shirt. Each shirt has a QR code, which, when scanned, will bring you to the page on our site dedicated to that person’s story. And, if you’re so inclined, you can shop that shirt as well.
My hope is that the brief tales told on our site will inspire you to seek out more information about your favorite revolutionary and the many other members of our great American family.
P.S. The faded blue flag on the Home page was the flag flown in camp during the Revolutionary War when George Washington, Commander in Chief of the Continental Army, was on site. More about that later.
